Source before story

Editorial & data policy

Every public claim should resolve to a normalized entity, an allowed source, an observation time, and a correction path.

Brand and product identity

Approved brand submissions take priority for identity and assets. Until a brand supplies authoritative data, catalog sources may provide a bootstrap record and are labeled as such. VeedAtlas does not invent product effects, medical benefits, prices, ratings, or stock claims.

Availability

Availability is a point-in-time menu observation, not a guarantee that an item is in stock. Pages show a freshness date and direct users to confirm with the retailer.

Licensed retailers

Verification is based on public state cannabis-license records and is independent of advertising or subscription status. Learn more in the data methodology.

Ranking language

VeedAtlas avoids unsupported “best,” “top,” “official,” medical, and price claims. When a list is ordered, the visible interface explains the observed signal behind that ordering.

AI-assisted reporting

Software may classify sources, extract named entities, draft original summaries, and run an adversarial fact-check. It may not create facts, quotations, medical claims, or legal conclusions. Every key fact must retain a public evidence URL. High-risk reports, incomplete drafts, and failed reviews are blocked; brand submissions cannot bypass the same evidence and review gates. Published reports identify the VeedAtlas Research Desk and link to their primary evidence.

Updates and corrections

Material corrections update the public record and its timestamps. Brands, retailers, and users can report an issue without buying a plan.
