Diamond Science

Diamond Science was founded by Jason Kabbes, an early cannabis legalization advocate and former mineral physicist turned cannapreneur. He previously conducted nanoscale research at The Ohio State University and the U.S. Department of Energy, studying crystal chemistry under extreme heat and pressure. In one experiment, he created a closed high-pressure, high-temperature system to analyze carbon-based materials, becoming the first scientist to convert microscopic calcite crystals into nanodiamonds using only heat, pressure, and oxygen—hence the name Diamond Science. He later applied this knowledge to cannabis extraction, becoming one of Oregon’s first self-taught extraction specialists. Today, Diamond Science continues advancing cannabis innovation through terpene refinement, nano-isolation, and novel applications of THC and full-spectrum extracts.
